enraptured with wonder

Hi guys, I'm Mei, a freshman at JHU this year. This is my personal blog, including random things I find on the internet, things I think are pretty, and just general musings on life. Tumblr single.. for now ;) I genuinely care about each and everyone one of my followers, so if you ever need to talk about anything, don't be afraid to just drop a note in my ask. That, and I enjoy making friends, so feel free to put anything in my ask really! Haha. I also track the tag enrapturedwithwonder and check out every blog that follows me and often follow back. Remember to smile today! :D

There are some things I care about so much it’s shocking. I care too much. But then, there are some things that I just don’t care about at all. Unfortunately, the things that seem to matter are in the latter category.

Do you ever wonder about how an author would describe you in a novel? Not only your appearance but the way you talk and laugh and hold yourself and all the expressions on your face?

sometimes I just need to be held and reminded that somebody loves me.

“I’ll never forget the day Marilyn and I were walking around New York City, just having a stroll on a nice day. She loved New York because no one bothered her there like they did in Hollywood, she could put on her plain-jane clothes and no one would notice her. She loved that. So as we we’re walking down Broadway, she turns to me and says ‘Do you want to see me become her?’ I didn’t know what she meant but I just said ‘Yes’- and then I saw it. I don’t know how to explain what she did because it was so very subtle, but she turned something on within herself that was almost like magic. And suddenly cars were slowing and people were turning their heads and stopping to stare. They were recognizing that this was Marilyn Monroe as if she pulled off a mask or something, even though a second ago nobody noticed her. I had never seen anything like it before.” - Amy Greene, wife of Marilyn’s personal photographer Milton Greene

Can we just take a moment to appreciate the issues we go through during testing that are expressed in this scene?

No seriously. This is awful.
